Created and sponsored by KidsVT, this Challenge asks participants to find the answers to some questions about their community, and to consider what we can do when we work together, the impact we can have and the messages we can send to each other about how we should act. We will focus on completing one of the challenges listed on the bingo card. Finish a row of five activities and receive a Good Citizen sticker and patch, a pocket-sized U.S. Constitution, and an invitation to a fall reception at the Vermont Statehouse, with special recognition given to those who fill in their whole card. Click here to learn more. Suggested for grades 4-9.
Joslin's event: Join us as we tackle challenge #5 (“Pitching In”) on the Kids VT Good Citizen Bingo card. Meet at Joslin Memorial Library and walk with us to the MRV Ambulance building where we’ll meet and chat with MRV Ambulance Service volunteers and see emergency vehicles and tour the station! All are welcome to join us for this event, even those not participating in the Challenge. Part of the MRV Libraries “All Together Now” summer learning program. |
From Kevin O’Keefe’s suitcase an entire circus emerges: tent, band, lights, the boisterous ringmaster Steve Fitzpatrick, the officious Mervin Merkle, the incredible Bumbilini Family, the Magician to the Stars Clyde Zerbini, and Keefer–an innocent trying to run away and join the circus. However, the most important performers emerge from the audience. Suitable for all ages.
