Among Dinosaurs
With the Vermont Museum of Natural History Moretown Rec Fields Saturday, June 27th 3:30 pm Travel back in time to when dinosaurs wandered our earth and mysterious creatures lurked in our ocean. These charismatic mega-fauna may have taken up the prehistoric spotlight, but this program will unearth some of the oldest plants and animals that thrived Among Dinosaurs. With the help of some of the Museum's live animal ambassadors, we'll delve into prehistoric mammals, ancient ocean invertebrates, fossils and more. |

Dinoman
Warren Town Hall Sunday, July 5th 11 am Have no fear, Dinoman is here! With magic, merry mayhem, and magnificent props, the audience is taken on a trip throughout the mesozoic era. How do we know dinosaurs were here? What is a fossil? How are they made? This program is fun and informative for all ages. All welcome; no registration needed. May be held on the Warren Town Green or in the Warren Town Hall depending on weather conditions. |

Family Hike
Moretown Recreation Fields Sunday, July 12th 10 am Meet us at the Moretown Rec Fields for a family-friendly adventure hike! We'll head into the woods together, play some hiking games, unearth some history in the woods, and see some beautiful sights. This will be a moderately easy hike for most ages and abilities. Backpack/other carriers recommended for the youngest hikers. |

Wild Clay Harvest
Lareau Farm Swimming Hole, Waitsfield Saturday, July 18th 9 am - noon The Friends of the Mad River will teach us how to unearth and play with wild clay. We'll check out an excellent natural deposit of clay, temper it with sand, and sculpt! Participants can leave their creations to be fired using an ancient outdoor method, then pick up finished pieces at Joslin Library later. |
