Are you contemplating sharpening your Spanish language skills? If you had Spanish once upon a time (perhaps in a class or perhaps because of where you once resided) this group may be perfect for you. Over five Thursday evenings, participants will improve upon existing Spanish language skills by reviewing key grammar concepts, vocabulary, and pronunciation. It’s guaranteed to help one regain fluency in speaking, listening, reading, and writing Spanish.
Join your friends and neighbors in getting ready for the upcoming growing season with a community seed swap hosted by the MRV Libraries. We invite you to drop your seeds to swap off at Joslin, Moretown or Warren libraries beforehand or you may bring them directly to the swap. Please follow these sharing guidelines to help ensure success: 1) The seeds you share should not be more than two years old.2) Make sure to give seeds to us in a clearly marked packet so we know what they are. Whether you have something to share or are new to gardening, everyone is invited to attend this fun event and take home seeds. All remaining seeds after the swap will be donated to our Little Seed Libraries for future use by community members.
On Friday evening April 11th at 6 p.m. at the library, everyone is welcome to take part in revisiting last April’s solar eclipse with songs, art, poetry, and stories. Some individuals whosubmitted work to the library a year ago will be on hand to share their stories, poetry, and art. The Songbird Project will add some musical flair to the event with a few songs about the sun and the moon. If you have a piece of artwork you would like to share, please bring it to the library by Wednesday April 9th at 5 PM, so we can display it on Friday evening! And if you have a story or a poem you would like to share about last year’s solar eclipse, the moon or the stars, we invite you to bring it with you. Please register in advance via the QR code above.
