Family Adventure Hike
Boyce Hill Town Forest, Fayston Saturday, July 6th 10 am Meet at the up for a family-friendly adventure hike at the gate to Boyce Hill! We'll head to the summit together and catch some amazing views! This hike is a 1.2 mile out-and-back hike with wide trails that make for easy hiking for most ages and abilities. Participants are encouraged to bring a picnic for the top (the library will also supply some goodies!). Backpack/other carriers recommended for the youngest hikers. |
Crafternoons at the Libraries
Come craft with us! There will be a differentcraft available at each library _ Constellation Jars Moretown Memorial Library Monday July 8th 3 - 4:30 pm Join us for a quiet adventure in crafting and make a constellation jar. Explore the night sky and take home a new night light for your room. Best suited for ages 7 and up, younger children will need a caregiver's help. Registration required. _ Map-making Joslin Memorial Library Wednesday, July 10th 3 - 4:30 pm Map your world! We'll take on cartography with large format paper and different writing materials. Most maps we interact with these days are digital, but physical maps can give us a greater sense of place and demonstrate what we consider important. Best suited for ages 5 and up. _ Geode Smashing Warren Public Library Friday, July 12th 3-4:30 pm Discover the sparkling surprise inside ordinary-looking rocks! |
Pond Exploration
Bliss Ridge Farm, Moretown Sunday, July 21st 10 am A Mad River Valley Summer Learning classic, this year at beautiful Bliss Ridge Farm! Join us and discover underwater life in this hands-on adventure for all ages. We'll supply buckets, nets, magnifying glasses, and guidebooks, but feel free to bring your favorite pond exploring tools of your own! |

Adventures in Clowning Moretown Recreation Fields Sunday, July 28th 2:30 pm Unfortunately this event is canceled. Here's a message from our friends Kolleen and Bobby of Clowning by Kintz: "We have a clown down! Bobby has torn a muscle in his shin and regretfully, we will not be able to perform for you this summer. We will miss sharing all the laughs with our community and look forward to bringing this show to you as soon as we’re back on our feet!" |
